How To Enrol
Application for enrolment is made only on the College’s official Registration for Enrolment Form from our prospectus or downloaded opposite.
The enrolment process is simple. The application form needs to be downloaded, filled out and signed, and, along with a $100 enrolment fee sent back to QIC at email@example.com or, alternatively, dropped into the school at 16-18 Ghilgai Road, Merrimac QLD 4226.
This will allow the school to capture important information and assess the requirements of your child, particular if you are coming from schools that are interstate or overseas.
Once your application has been successful a student bond of $1000 is to be paid to hold your child’s place at the school. At this stage an enrolment form is also to be filled in with comprehensive information about the student and again either emailed or delivered to the school.
Then it is simply a case of bringing your child to school to begin their exciting journey of education with Queensland Independent College!

Subject Levies and Disbursements
At QIC, a Stationery Levy of $200 is charged, payable at the commencement of the school year, which covers all the child’s book and stationery needs for the year, including photocopying, where required.
A $300 Incursion/Excursion Levy is covers the costs of educational shows, performances and trips to appropriate exhibitions etc. School camps are not covered by this levy and appear as separate items and billed accordingly.
A $200 Building Fund Levy is tax deductable as it is specifically budgeted towards building projects and developments related to the school.
A $100 Arts Levy will assist in the purchase and maintenance of College owned musical instruments, instruments for private lesson hire, computers and relevant arts’ related programs – visual and media – and for the purchase and use of quality art consumables.
Unused levies will be donated to the school if the student withdraws during the school year.
In the event of a scholarship offer to a particular student, the scholarship recipient’s family will pay the remaining amount of tuition fee (if applicable) and all levies. At no time does a scholarship offer exempt the scholarship holder from payment of said levies or any remaining tuition fees. Family discounts are not applicable in the event of a scholarship acceptance. The scholarship is a stand-alone offer.
Withdrawal of a Student from the College
As budgets, staff allocation and resources are based on enrolment numbers, and in line with Queensland Independent College Enrolment Policy, parents are required to give one full term’s written notice of withdrawal of a student. If such notice is not given, a term’s fees per child will be charged and payable or the student bond held over.
